By recognising these remarkable contributions, the Volunteer Star shines a light on the vital role volunteers play in helping communities thrive and offers heartfelt thanks to those whose dedication, kindness, and impact truly make a difference.

There are over 170,000 charities and community groups in the UK of which 1000 are in the Test Valley, who thrive thanks to an army of dedicated volunteers.

One in three adults volunteer once a month, contributing their valuable support, skills and knowledge to charities and communities in need.  And it’s not just about giving - it is about gaining too.
