How does it work?

For just £5.00 per visit, you can select twelve items from our pantry, plus any free items available. You can visit once a week.

Our food comes from various sources: it’s grown, surplus, donated, or purchased through funding. We sort and stock this food in the Pantry, making it accessible to families and individuals at a minimal cost.

Logo of Unity and text reading 'The Travelling Pantry,' symbolising Unity's community food support service, offering fresh and packaged food to local residents.

Why is it important?

The Travelling Pantry has become a lifeline for many in our rural communities, especially those struggling with the cost of living crisis. With limited access to shops, food banks, and pantries, we bring the essentials directly to you!

No one should have to choose between paying a bill or eating a meal. Thanks to our partners, food donations, growing schemes, and food waste prevention channels, we provide good quality food to those who need it most.

Volunteers Needed for The Travelling Pantry!

Our incredible Travelling Pantry is looking for volunteers to help us continue supporting the wonderful people of Test Valley. Thanks to its success, we’re excited to expand our service to new areas and enhance our offerings in the communities we already serve. But we can’t do it without you!

Can you spare up to 4 hours on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday?

Join us in delivering this vital service! The role involves some manual handling and offers a fantastic opportunity to give back to the community, make new friends, and connect with our lovely pantry shoppers.
