Code Cracking Fun - Army Flying Museum

The Army Flying Museum at Middle Wallop is inviting visitors to join them for some Secret Agent shenanigans and code-cracking fun this February half term. Visitors can learn about some amazing secret agents and spies from the Second World War with a fun trail around the Museum and can try their hand at cracking lots of different types of spy codes at the popular craft tables.

Popular model making sessions are also back on Saturday 15 and Thursday 20 Feb and as a new holiday attraction that day, the team from the Museum will also be giving visitors the rare opportunity to find out more about some of the objects in the Museum’s handling collection.

On Tuesday 18 Feb, the Museum turns its attention to all things puzzle related, when visitors can see a fabulous collection of jigsaw puzzles and trace their history from their origins in the mid-18^th century, right up to present day.  Visitors will be able to watch footage of how puzzles are made and have a go at assembling some of the puzzles themselves.

On Wednesday 19 Feb, visitors can meet the team from Wessex Archaeology and explore the wreck of a 1940’s aircraft using VR Headsets.

Along with all the interactives, dressing up and soft play and outdoor play park at the Museum, there is plenty to keep everyone busy and all activities throughout the week are included in ticket price which also comes with a free annual pass.

The Museum, which recently achieved the Silver Award for Small Visitor Attraction of the year in the Beautiful South Awards, continues to go from strength to strength in the wide range of activities it provides for families.
