Be a Councillor Information Event

Could you help shape the future of your community? Test Valley Borough Council is hosting two free ‘Be a Councillor’ events for anyone interested in learning more about becoming a local councillor.

Hear directly from current councillors about what the role involves, how it can fit around everyday life, and the difference councillors make in their local communities. These informal sessions are designed to answer questions and provide practical insight into local government.

The events are open to anyone who is not already a councillor and would like to find out more about supporting and representing their community. Attendance is free, but places should be reserved in advance.

There will be both an in person and online version of the event.

Date: Wednesday 28 October 2026 at 6:00pm (Longstock Village Hall) and Monday 2 November 2026 at 7:00pm (Microsoft Teams)

Booking: Email bryan@testvalley.gov.uk to reserve a place.
