Governors act as a "critical friend" to the headteacher, using their diverse professional skills to support the school's development.

Life experience, but it would be helpful to have either HR, Legal or previous, education experience.

What activities will the volunteer perform or take part in?
Prepare for and attend governing body meetings; school visits; prepare and attend other committee meetings.
