Trustee - Treasurer

Description

Romsey Family Support Group are seeking a Treasurer to join its Board of Trustees.

You will receive full support from a friendly, experienced Board and a passionate Chair with over 40 years’ service, alongside guidance, resources, and a welcoming team to help you succeed in the role.

About the Role

As Treasurer, you will oversee the charity’s financial management and play a key role in supporting its long-term sustainability and impact. Working closely with the Chair, Manager, and fellow Trustees, you will contribute to strategic planning and ensure sound financial governance.

You will:

• Oversee the charity’s finances and financial controls

• Monitor budgets and financial performance

• Ensure financial compliance and good governance

• Prepare and present financial reports to the Board

• Support financial planning and strategic decision-making

• Advise Trustees on financial risks and opportunities

Skills & Experience Needed

• Strong financial knowledge and attention to detail

• Good judgement and integrity

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

• Commitment to the charity’s mission and long-term sustainability

• Experience in finance, accounting, or financial management (desirable)

Requirements

• A DBS (criminal record) check will be required
