Description

Koala (More Education) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Volunteer Treasurer to provide financial leadership and ensure the long-term sustainability of our organisation. This is a vital role at the heart of our governance and strategic planning.

About the Role

As Treasurer, you will play a key part in overseeing Koala’s financial health and ensuring strong, transparent governance. You will:

  • Provide strategic financial direction across the organisation
  • Work closely with the Chair, CEO, and Finance Working Group
  • Oversee budgeting, management accounts, and financial reporting
  • Support risk management and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Guide financial planning for major initiatives, including:
    • The school project
    • HR reforms
    • Community programmes
  • Offer advice that supports the charity’s sustainability and growth

Skills & Experience Needed

  • Accountancy qualifications
  • Understanding of third-sector accounting
    • Or a willingness to learn with support and training provided

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications or training
  • A DBS (criminal record) check will be required

Availability
