Romsey Family Support Group are supporting families in the local community is seeking committed individuals to join its Board of Trustees. Volunteers will be supported by a friendly, dedicated board and a passionate, experienced Chair with over 40 years of involvement in the charity, all working together to make a meaningful difference.
As a Trustee, you will help guide the strategic direction of the charity, ensure strong governance, and support its long-term sustainability. Working collaboratively with fellow Trustees and the Chair, you will play an important role in shaping the organisation’s future and impact.
The Board meets a minimum of twice a year, with preparation and additional involvement as needed.
You will:
Help shape the charity’s strategy and future direction
Monitor performance and ensure the charity is well-run
Support legal, financial, and regulatory compliance
Contribute to fundraising and community engagement
Share your skills, experience, and perspective to support effective decision-making
Commitment to the charity’s values and mission
Good judgement and integrity
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Willingness to contribute time, skills, and experience
An interest in governance and supporting community organisations
A DBS (criminal record) check will be required
Support from a friendly, committed Board
Mentoring and guidance from an experienced Chair
Opportunities to learn more about governance and leadership
This role is suitable for:

Board meetings and responsibilities may fall on Mondays and Fridays
