Description

Romsey Family Support Group are supporting families in the local community is seeking committed individuals to join its Board of Trustees. Volunteers will be supported by a friendly, dedicated board and a passionate, experienced Chair with over 40 years of involvement in the charity, all working together to make a meaningful difference.

About the Role

As a Trustee, you will help guide the strategic direction of the charity, ensure strong governance, and support its long-term sustainability. Working collaboratively with fellow Trustees and the Chair, you will play an important role in shaping the organisation’s future and impact.

The Board meets a minimum of twice a year, with preparation and additional involvement as needed.

You will:

• Help shape the charity’s strategy and future direction

• Monitor performance and ensure the charity is well-run

• Support legal, financial, and regulatory compliance

• Contribute to fundraising and community engagement

• Share your skills, experience, and perspective to support effective decision-making

Skills & Experience Needed

• Commitment to the charity’s values and mission

• Good judgement and integrity

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

• Willingness to contribute time, skills, and experience

• An interest in governance and supporting community organisations

Requirements

• A DBS (criminal record) check will be required
