Sport in Mind is a mental health sports charity who provide a wide range of free sports and physical sessions to suit everyone. Our weekly youth session is open to 10-14 year olds facing challenges & low self-esteem/confidence, offering a fun & safe sport session. The session is weekly during term-time and take place in a safe, supportive and fun environment. When it comes to volunteering at a Sport in Mind session, the softer skills are what really matter. We are looking for individuals who are kind, friendly and approachable, and able to engage our attendees in the activity in a way in which they gain the maximum benefit. Our youth session volunteers must attend their allocated session(s) each week supporting the coach, to ensure we provide the relevant ratio of adults : young people & consistency supports our participants. Â
A DBS is required for the role.
Looking for a young person betwen 17 years to 25 years to support the youth session.
Skills needed for this role - kind, friendly, approachable and able to engage attendees in activities in a way to maximise benefit.
Volunteers will help coach the session providing a fun, safe and welcoming environment inclusive of equipment setup and closedown.
