An opportunity to support parents in the community by leading friendly, informal walking groups as part of the Hampshire Healthy Families 0–19 service. Volunteers help create welcoming social spaces for parents, encouraging connection, wellbeing and confidence. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being outdoors and wants to make a positive impact on local families.

About the Role

As a Ready Steady Walk Leader, you will support weekly social walking groups for parents. The walks take place at the same time and location each week, providing a relaxed environment for parents to meet and chat. You will also help promote positive health messages to young families as part of the Hampshire Healthy Families programme.

Skills & Experience Needed

  • Good listening skills
  • Patience and friendliness
  • A positive and encouraging approach

Requirements

  • Will require a criminal record (DBS) check
