About the Organisation

Simon Says Bereavement Support is a Hampshire-based charity supporting children and young people (up to 18) who have experienced the death of someone important to them. We provide a safe space for children and families to share their feelings and receive the support they need.

 

 

About the Role

Are you passionate about helping children and young people? Do you enjoy connecting with others, coming up with creative ideas, or organising events?

Join our friendly volunteer team and help us raise vital funds to support families through some of life’s toughest moments.

 

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the planning and delivery of fundraising events and campaigns
  • Building relationships with local businesses, community groups, and supporters across Hampshire
  • Using your creativity to generate new fundraising ideas and reach new audiences
  • Helping to promote events and celebrate fundraising successes

 

Skills and Qualities

  • Experience in fundraising and/or organising community events (desirable)
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Creative thinking and initiative
  • Enthusiasm for supporting children and families

Training and Support

We provide full training and ongoing support, including:

  • Induction covering bereavement awareness, safeguarding, and communication
  • Guidance on supporting families and understanding our services
  • Continued support from our experienced team

 

Important Information

  • A DBS (criminal record) check is required
  • Volunteers should have access to a vehicle and a full driving licence
  • Suitable for:
    • Groups
    • Friends volunteering together
    • Young people aged 17–25
