Description

We are looking for volunteers specifically to help with our clients in our dispersed accommodation properties within the Test Valley, who will:

  • Support residents with activities that improve their outcomes, confidence and wellbeing.
  • Support residents with agreed activities.
  • The support will focus on empowering victims/survivors to gain confidence and improve their skills or recognise their skills, relating to cooking, budgeting, setting up and moving utilities / bank accounts, basic home maintenance. They may need support enrolling their children in activities or getting to know their local area, for example where parks can be accessed.

To provide a “buddy” service, promoting victims/survivors’ independence by supporting them to:

  • Expand their social networks
  • Familiarise with local amenities
  • Improve health and wellbeing
