Picket Twenty Community Centre is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to help run community events and support groups. We are a thriving hub in the heart of the Picket Twenty housing estate, providing activities for children, families, and seniors. This role is perfect for anyone looking to make a real difference in their local community.
As an Event Volunteer, you will help deliver a variety of community activities and events, ensuring they run smoothly and safely. You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team and have the chance to meet new people while contributing to your community.
You will:
Assist with community events, toddler groups, and warm hub sessions
Run stalls, supervise activities, or help with food preparation and serving
Support general event operations, including running the bar when needed
Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants
Kind, caring, and supportive attitude
Willingness to work as part of a team
Enthusiasm for engaging with the local community
No prior experience required; training will be provided
A DBS (criminal record) check will be required
Training and guidance
