This welcoming community crèche in Romsey is looking for friendly and caring volunteers to support children aged 0–5 in a safe, nurturing environment. Volunteers are a valued part of the team and are welcomed into a relaxed, supportive setting with plenty of tea, coffee, biscuits, and opportunities to build positive relationships in a rewarding role.
As a Crèche Volunteer, you’ll be part of a warm and inclusive team supporting children and families during session times. As the crèche operates in a pack-away setting, volunteers help prepare the space at the beginning of sessions and pack everything away at the end.
During sessions, you will actively engage with children, help at snack time, and support a range of fun and meaningful activities that encourage learning through play.
You will:
Help with setting up and packing away the crèche space
Play and interact with children aged 0–5
Support children during snack time
Help create a fun, inclusive, and nurturing environment
Take part in activities such as crafts, outdoor play, imaginative role play, and sensory experiences
Warm, patient, and caring nature
Enjoyment of spending time with children
Enthusiasm for play and creative activities
Understanding of the importance of safeguarding
Willingness to work as part of a supportive team
A DBS (criminal record) check will be required
A supportive and welcoming team environment
Relaxed atmosphere with tea, coffee, and biscuits
Opportunity to build positive relationships
Guidance and support from experienced team members
