What will you be doing ?

As a individual or as a group you will be walking around an area to pick up the litter in that area.

Test Valley council work in partnership with individuals who want to improve their local environment by becoming a Community Litter Picker.

They currently have around 700 Community Litter Pickers throughout the Borough and if you would like to join up, they will provide you with a litter picker and a roll of sacks.

Please note:

  • you must be a resident of Test Valley to take part (aged 5 or over)
  • you must only litter pick public land. If you spot any litter, or accumulations of waste, on private land, please leave it and let them know
  • If you have room, you can put your collected litter in your black household waste bin. Alternatively, you can put your bagged litter in, or next to, one of the public litter bins.

They  will provide you with a Health and Safety Checklist and provide you with support as necessary.
