TheĀ volunteer handy person will support us to carry out general maintenance duties in our wellbeing centres. In the role you will be undertaking any DIY, as and when required. They are looking for enthusiastic people to join our team, who are able to complete basic DIY activities and are keen to support there services in creating welcoming and attractive service sites.
What particular skills are needed for this role?
Practical skills in DIY. Confident in using electrical equipment eg. Drill. Good communication skills. Flexible. Understanding the need for confidentiality. Reliable and trustworthy.
What activities will the volunteer perform or take part in?
Basic repairs. Basic decorating. Flat pack furniture assembly. Putting up curtain rails/blinds. Hanging pictures and shelves. Ad Hoc maintenance duties.
