Men’s Mental Health Breakfast Chat

We invite local men to join together on the first Sunday of each month at Knight’s Enham Junior School running from 10am to 12pm.

This unique gathering will offer attendees a FREE breakfast, creating a welcoming atmosphere where men can connect over delicious food.

Beyond the shared meal, the group will feature a range of engaging activities designed to foster friendship and community support.

A Safe Space for Connection and Understanding

At our Men’s Mental Health Breakfast, we aim to break down the barriers surrounding mental health discussions and create a supportive community where men can share their experiences openly. We understand that men's mental health symptoms often differ from those of women, making them easy to overlook. In environments where vulnerability is not the norm, men are at risk of suffering in silence, leading to serious consequences. With statistics revealing that 75% of those who die by suicide are men, the need for safe spaces has never been more urgent.

Men come to our breakfasts seeking connection and understanding amidst the challenges they face, such as increased anger or irritability, difficulties focusing, or even chronic physical symptoms like headaches or digestive issues. Participants frequently share that hearing other men’s stories of struggle helps them feel less isolated. One member remarked, "When I opened up about my anxiety, others shared their struggles, too. It felt liberating to realize I wasn't alone."

Our gatherings are not just about sharing struggles; they’re about equipping men with the tools to improve their mental health. Many attendees leave with newfound insights and strategies to cope with challenges, such as tackling depression and anxiety. A participant noted, "These meetings have given me practical skills to manage my stress and a group of friends to reach out to when times get tough."

By nurturing an environment where men feel safe and supported, we are fostering a culture of openness and understanding. At our Men’s Breakfast Chat, we invite you to join us in creating a community that listens, shares, and grows together, challenging the stigma around men’s mental health and inspiring each other to seek help and connection.

Pet Food Bank

The Pet Food Bank Project aims to assist families in ensuring their pets are well-fed, hydrated, and remain where they belong: at home.

We work in partnership with the RSPCA and the Blue Cross to deliver this project, with generous donations of pet food, bedding and treats from Anton vets in Andover.

The RSPCA Animal Kindness Index report shows we're a nation of animal lovers. However, seven in ten pet owners are worried about the cost of caring for their animals and a fifth are concerned about how they'll afford to feed them.
