Our Support Workers
Our experienced support workers have been delivering support to residents in the Test Valley area for many years. All of our support workers are highly trained, reliable and caring.
We will try and ensure that you have to same support worker for each visit, although during times of sickness or annual leave, you may be offered a different worker. You have the option to decline a different worker if you would prefer, but this may mean that your visit will not be able to proceed until your regular support worker returns.
Support workers are happy to spend time with you in your home, having a chat, reading to you, playing a game, doing a crossword or simply watching a film or listening to the radio. Alternatively, you may wish to go out for a trip in the car, for a drive, a walk around a garden centre or for a coffee. In certain circumstances, outings may need to be arranged with the support worker in advance of the visit.
Our support workers do not provide full cleaning services, but are happy to support with light domestic chores such as hanging the washing out or loading the dishwasher.
Support workers will be happy to support to make drinks, prepare a light lunch such as sandwiches, or reheat a cooked meal.
All of our support workers are trained in First Aid, but will always call a paramedic in case of emergency and will not attempt to lift a client after a fall.
Our support workers are covered by the Unity public liability insurance policy, and are DBS checked.
Please note: Our support workers are not able to administer medication, but are able to remind the client to take it.
