Army Flying Museum at Middle Wallop this Summer 2025

Fun science, creative craft activities, cartoon workshops and fun trails, all form the school holiday entertainment programme from the 

The Army Flying Museum’s holiday activities will offer six weeks of creative craft sessions along with lots of other fun activities all included within the ticket price which also comes with a free annual pass, to enable visitors to return week on week to enjoy the fun. 

On Monday 28 July the team welcome Fun Science to the Museum who will be showing off some flight science themed activities along with making paper rockets and helicopters.

Don't miss the chance to meet some very special therapy goats from The Three Bees Project on Wednesday 6 August.  Snuggle up with Tiger-Lily, give Bluebell a tummy massage, enjoy a deep conversation with Hamilton and laugh at the antics of Elvis and Neil. Goats are naturally playful and inquisitive, so they get as much out of their visits as the visitors they meet.

On Wednesday 13 August the Museum will turn its attention to all things Meccano when visitors can feast their eyes on some fantastic models and have a go at making your very own design.

On Tuesday 26 August, the team from Kooky and Kitsch will be making a first visit to the Museum and running a very special cartoon workshop using some of the exhibits within the Museum as inspiration.

On 5, 10 and 21 August, the Museum invites you to come along and try your hand at making and painting a plastic model.  With lots of models to choose from including vehicles, history, fantasy or storytelling, visitors will be guided by the charity Models for Heroes and will take home a model after the session to remind them of their visit.

The Museum has several creative trails taking place throughout the summer holidays along with the regular dress up stations, jigsaws, interactive exhibits and of course, the opportunity to sit inside the helicopters within the museum.  Every Thursday throughout the holidays, the team from the Museum will also stage an interactive activity each week, with dressing up sessions, VR headsets or the opportunity to look more closely at some of the items from the Museum with the curatorial team included.

With the outdoor play park and picnic tables visitors also have the chance to see some amazing aircraft flying in and out of the historic Middle Wallop airfield.
