SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity (Soldiers', Sailors', and Airmen's Families Association), provides lifelong, personalised welfare, financial, and emotional support to serving personnel, veterans, and their families.

SSAFA offers practical help, including housing, mental health support, disability equipment, and specialized support for families.

SSAFA exists to relieve need, suffering and distress amongst the Armed Forces, veterans and their families in order to support their independence and dignity.

They also run Forcesline - a free helpline for anyone in the Armed Forces and their families. It's the first port of call for many people, whether they are still serving, transitioning to civilian life or a veteran who left several years ago.

SSAFA works in partnership with other military charities and specialist organisations to ensure that those who turn to us for help get the support they need.
