Friends of Romsey Signal Box

Our mission is to preserve a historic building and to open it to the public on a regular basis as a working museum. Romsey Signal Box has been preserved on its own dedicated site and restored to operational order by the Friends of Romsey Signal Box. Volunteers help develop and maintain the site, and staff the site on Open Days. We are open to the public 1200-1600 on the first Sunday and third Saturday of each month, and other specially advertised dates. Visitors can see demonstrations of the box in operation (with bells ringing) and are encouraged to pull the levers to operate some signals outside.
