Eastleigh Police Station

Local police station open to the public in Eastleigh in Eastern Hampshire which includes Romsey. Police officers work with the communities they serve to maintain law and order, protect the public and their property, prevent crime, reduce the fear of crime and improve the quality of life for all citizens. They use a wide range of technology to protect individuals, identify the perpetrators of crime and ensure successful prosecutions against those who break the law. The role of a police community support officer (PCSO) is to complement and support regular police officers, providing a visible and accessible uniformed presence on the street, to improve the quality of life in the community and offer greater public reassurance. PCSOs are not replacement police officers but are there to address some of the tasks that do not require the experience or powers held by police officers, which often take officers away from more appropriate duties. Special constables undertake a whole range of duties with in Hampshire Constabulary, supporting the regular force in policing Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Specials volunteer their time above and beyond their day-to-day jobs and responsibilities to support the force to protect the public and prevent crime. Our volunteer roles give members of the public the opportunity to support Hampshire Constabulary in its drive to protect our communities and bring criminals to justice.
