There are about 125 independent voluntary groups in the Good Neighbours Network in Hampshire. They are there for people who do not have anyone else to turn to when they need a bit of help. Mostly, volunteers use their own cars to take people to GP and hospital appointments. They stay with them and bring them home again. Broughton Good Neighbours provides help to residents in the Parishes of Broughton and Bossington who is over 18 with a health or mobility problem with Hospital Transport; GP Transport; Other Health Transport; Prescription Collection; Gardening; D.I.Y; Pet Care; Sitting Service; Shopping; Befriending; Visiting, Coffee Morning. Passengers in wheelchairs can be accommodated if wheelchairs can fold and passengers can transfer from their wheelchair into a car. Farepass is accepted, otherwise some form of donation.
