Welcome to the “Church by the arch”, we are just off the Market Place in the centre of Romsey. Our church family welcomes everyone. Each Sunday we have all-age worship at 10.30am. We also do weddings, baptisms and funerals.
Sunday Services
Each Sunday we have all age worship at 10.30am. We hold communion on the first Sunday of the month within the 10.30am service.
Bible Study
Our monthly Bible study and discussion group meet on the 1st Sunday at 6.30pm on Zoom (please contact Revd Mike for details).
Saturday mornings our church is open for quiet reflection and prayer from 10am-12.30pm.
Church activities
Warm welcome social morning: each Thursday from 10am-11.30am. Refreshments provided. A space for you to chat, read, meet friends - no pressure - just a warm welcome for everyone.
Chill Out Tuesday: a social get-together from 8pm-9.30pm on the second Tuesday of each month in Abbey URC Hall Lounge. A welcome, safe space for everyone and an opportunity to meet new people.
BALM: our bereavement and loss group meet on the 2nd Monday at 10.30am in Abbey Hall Lounge. For people, who have lost a loved one and are grieving, to meet others in a similar situation.
Church Table Tennis: held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday at 2.30pm-4pm in Abbey Hall.
Abbey URC Friends: a group of people who have connection with our church, but do not attend regularly. Details on our website.
Abbey URC and Abbey Hall: are used by many community groups, please see our website, abbeyurc.org.uk, or our Facebook page for upcoming concerts or events.
Our sister church in the village of Braishfield, opposite the village hall, was founded in 1818. Its friendly and active congregation plays a valuable part in the life of the village.
