Volunteering projects
Unity currently run two exciting growing projects.
15th Romsey (North Baddesley) Scout Group serves the North Baddesley area. Membership is available for boys and girls aged between 4 years and 18 years. The Group is run entirely by volunteers. Each Section has its own training programme which helps the members develop as they grow by teaching them self-reliance, and consideration for others whilst allowing them to develop their own individual skills through a variety of activity badges. Much of Scouting is based on outdoor pursuits because this is seen as encouraging a healthy lifestyle, but there is still room for many indoor pursuits. Two formal gatherings are held each year, when all members are asked to attend. St George's Day Parade is held in Romsey on a Sunday afternoon near 23 April. The Remembrance Day parade is held on Remembrance Sunday, in November in North Baddesley. In addition all members and their families are invited to attend the District Carol Service held one evening shortly before Christmas at the United Reformed Church in Romsey, this is not a formal parade. Beavers meet on Tuesday evenings; Cubs meet on Friday evenings; Scouts meet on Monday evenings; Explorers meet on Thursday evenings. Contact us to find out more
