How to Nominate a Test Valley Volunteer Star

Who Can Make a Nomination?

A nomination for a Test Valley Volunteer Star can be made by:

  • Volunteers
  • Staff members
  • Community groups, charities, or partner organisations

Nominations should be made by someone who has directly seen the volunteer’s contribution. Self‑nominations are not accepted.

Who Can Be Nominated?

You can nominate:

  • An individual volunteer
  • A team or group of volunteers

Nominees should be volunteering within the Test Valley area.

What Contributions Are Recognised?

Test Valley Volunteer Stars may be awarded to volunteers who have:

  • Made a significant positive impact on individuals or communities
  • Shown outstanding dedication, kindness, or reliability
  • Supported or inspired other volunteers
  • Helped an organisation or group during challenging times
  • Led or contributed to a successful project or initiative
  • Demonstrated creativity, leadership, or innovation in volunteering
  • Consistently gone above and beyond what is expected

These examples are not exhaustive!

Nominations are welcomed for all forms of exceptional volunteering.

How to Submit a Nomination

Nominations can be submitted via an online nomination form (click here) during Volunteer Week - 1st June to the 7th June 2026

 

Please provide clear examples and as much detail as possible to help the review panel understand the volunteer’s impact.

 

What Happens Next?

  • The nomination is acknowledged once received
  • The nomination is verified
  • The nominator is informed of the outcome

If a nomination is not approved, feedback may be provided and re‑submission may be possible.

 

Recognition

Successful Test Valley Volunteer Stars will receive:

  • A certificate and lapel pin
  • Public recognition (with consent)
