Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance rely on our volunteers to help raise the £17,750 a day needed to keep critical care getting to those who need it the most. You don't have to wear a flight suit to help save lives with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
They attend many community and corporate events across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight throughout the year but we can only engage with the public and tell them the HIOWAA story if we have Volunteer support. Volunteers attend these events along with various engagement tools to talk to the public, promoting the charity and the work that it does.
What particular skills are needed for this role?
You need to be a friendly, outgoing person with a confident and approachable manner, along with good communication skills.
What activities will the volunteer perform or take part in?
Attending a variety of events including community and corporate events, as well as festivals. Collecting donations in collection buckets. Acting as an information source for members of the public; answering questions and promoting the work of HIOWAA.
