Young People – Help shape Andover’s future

Do you sometimes find yourself wishing you had more to do around Andover?

Or perhaps having loads of suggestions as to what those things could be?

Well, now’s your chance to put those thoughts forward to help shape what Andover could look like for young people in the future.

This July, 30 younger people aged 11-18 will chat about what it’s like to be a young person in Andover, and what could be done to improve the different parts of your daily life. The ‘assembly’ will include young people and represent the diverse group of young people that live in Andover, from across the area, from different schools all talking about what you think could make the town better for you.

At the assembly, a lot of experts in different areas (who know plenty about Andover and the latest goings-on) will speak to you about what they know. You don’t need any previous knowledge or skills to take part. All you have to do is listen, and then tell us what you think. Then, all of the opinions and suggestions from the group will be shared with organisations in the town who help shape future decisions for the town.

You will need to make sure that you can attend the full event. It takes place for one evening per week for three weeks on the 6th,13th and 20th July. The sessions are from 4.30 pm until 7.30 pm at Beech Hurst, Weyhill Road. Food will be provided and we can cover your costs for transport. If you attend all three you will also get a l get a £50 Amazon gift card as a thank you.
