Volunteers’ Week in the UK runs from 1st to 7th June 2021. What better time for you to think about how you could get involved in local volunteering.
Unity Volunteering is proud that around 200 volunteers came forward to support the national vaccination roll-out by marshalling and being on hand at the vaccination clinics in Andover and Romsey. We wish to keep the volunteering momentum going by building on our links with local organisations and the public to get more people involved in their community.
Do you have a few hours to spare to donate to a local voluntary organisation or community group? Then you can start to make a difference to others in the community, there are many voluntary groups and charities in the Test Valley looking for new volunteers that will benefit from the time and skills you have.
Whether you are in Romsey, Andover or any of the outlying areas, it is likely we will find you a volunteer role.
There is a lot to be gained from volunteering, with benefits that are well documented ranging from better mental health, developing new skills, meeting new people and improving future employment prospects.
