Description

Help Build 'Parent Spark' in Andover Parent Spark is a brand-new, parent-led initiative supporting parents & guardians in Andover navigating mental health struggles. Their mission is to create a vibrant local hub offering peer support, safe play sessions, and a community that truly understands. They're forming a founding Board of Trustees and looking for 3–5 passionate individuals to help them establish their roots, operate safely, and build a sustainable future for local families. They require Trustees to be able to register as a charity.

This role can be carried out remotely from home, with virtual meetings.

 

Main Activities

  • Attend monthly trustee meetings
  • Support good governance and safe working practices
  • Help guide the strategic direction of Parent Spark
  • Contribute ideas and expertise to support the organisation's development
  • Assist with establishing Parent Spark as a registered charity
  • Support the growth and sustainability of services for local families

Skills and Qualities

  • An interest in supporting parents experiencing mental health challenges
  • Understanding of mental health and its impact on parents
  • Ability to participate in virtual meetings
  • Experience in finance, media, fundraising, or other relevant areas is welcomed
  • Lived experience of parenthood is valued
  • Commitment to supporting the organisation's aims and development
