About the role

Oxfam’s Romsey shop is looking for friendly and reliable volunteers to join the Sunday team as a Till / Customer Service Volunteer. You’ll be the welcoming face of the shop, helping create a warm and positive experience for customers and donors alike.

 

This is an ideal role for anyone who enjoys meeting people and wants to support a busy charity shop in their community.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing excellent customer service at the till
  • Handling transactions with accuracy and confidence
  • Welcoming and chatting with customers and donors
  • Accepting and processing donations
  • Sorting, selecting, and pricing donated items
  • Labelling donations clearly to help maximise income

 

What we’re looking for

  • A friendly, approachable manner
  • Confidence speaking with customers
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Reliability and willingness to learn
  • No experience needed – full training and support provided
  • Relevant qualifications or training are helpful but not essential
