Role Summary

 

Purple Oak Support is looking for a friendly, patient and enthusiastic volunteer to support its weekly Computer Club alongside an experienced Club Leader. The club provides a welcoming environment for individuals with learning disabilities to develop computer skills, explore technology and build confidence using digital resources. Volunteers will help members participate in activities in a way that reflects their individual abilities, interests and learning needs.

 

Main Activities

  • Support individuals to use computers and technology.
  • Help members develop basic digital skills.
  • Provide encouragement and one-to-one support within the group.
  • Promote independence and confidence.
  • Help create a friendly and inclusive club atmosphere.

 

Skills and Qualities

  • Patient and approachable.
  • Reliable and willing to learn.
  • Interest in computers and technology.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Enjoys helping others.
