About the role

Oxfam’s Romsey shop is looking for friendly and reliable volunteers to support with homeware sorting and pricing. This hands-on role is perfect for anyone who enjoys working as part of a team and helping create an inviting shop environment.

You’ll play a vital role behind the scenes, ensuring donated items are ready for sale and helping the shop raise funds for Oxfam’s work.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Sorting donated homeware items ready for sale
  • Cleaning, polishing (including silver), and preparing items
  • Researching and pricing items, including spotting valuable or vintage pieces
  • Creating attractive displays on the shop floor
  • Chatting with customers dropping off donations
  • Working alongside the shop team and supporting daily shop tasks

 

What we’re looking for

  • Reliability and punctuality
  • A positive attitude and willingness to be part of a team
  • An interest in homeware, retail, or charity work
  • No prior experience is needed – full training and support will be provided
  • Relevant qualifications or training are helpful but not essential
