Fashion Sorting & Pricing Volunteer

Fashion Sorting & Pricing Volunteer

Description

About the role

Oxfam’s Romsey shop is looking for enthusiastic volunteers with an interest in fashion to support with sorting, pricing, and displaying clothing donations. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience in charity retail while helping to promote sustainable fashion.

You’ll play an important role in keeping the shop well-stocked with fresh, high-quality items and helping to slow down fast fashion by making the most of donated clothing.

What you’ll be doing

  • Sorting and selecting desirable, seasonal clothing donations
  • Steaming, preparing, and pricing items for sale
  • Researching brands and identifying valuable or high-quality pieces
  • Creating eye-catching window displays and in-store visual merchandising
  • Hanging and organising stock on the shop floor
  • Chatting with customers and accepting donations

What we’re looking for

  • A passion for fashion or interest in retail (helpful, but not essential)
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Confidence working as part of a team
  • No previous experience needed – full training and support provided
  • Relevant qualifications or training are helpful but not required

What you’ll gain

  • Experience in fashion retail and visual merchandising
  • New practical and creative skills
  • Improved confidence and teamwork skills
  • The opportunity to support sustainable fashion and a global charity
