Andover Mind

Event Support

Event Support

Description

This Event Support Volunteer opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to make a positive difference in their community while supporting mental health and wellbeing.

As part of Andover Mind, you will help ensure events and fundraising activities run smoothly, supporting the charity's work and helping to raise awareness of local mental health services. While the role includes some event-based activities, it has a strong administrative element and is well suited to individuals who enjoy being organised, supporting behind-the-scenes tasks and helping events operate efficiently.

A key part of this role involves providing administrative support before, during and after events. This may include helping with registration processes, maintaining sign-in sheets, preparing and distributing event materials, supporting event communications, assisting with record keeping and helping staff coordinate activities.

You may also support fundraising administration, assist with event-related documentation and help ensure information is organised and accessible. These tasks play an important role in creating successful events and ensuring participants have a positive experience.

Alongside administrative duties, volunteers may help set up and pack down events, welcome participants and members of the public, distribute information and merchandise, support collections and raffles where appropriate, and encourage people taking part in community activities.

You will be part of a friendly team and contribute to creating welcoming and inclusive events that reflect the values of Andover Mind.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop practical administration, communication and organisational skills while gaining experience within the charity sector. It can be particularly valuable for those looking to build confidence, enhance their CV, gain office and event administration experience, or contribute their existing skills to a worthwhile cause.

Andover Mind welcomes volunteers from a range of backgrounds, and previous event experience is not required. They are looking for people who are reliable, organised, approachable and able to work effectively as part of a team. An interest in mental health and wellbeing, along with a willingness to support both administrative and event-related activities, is important.

This flexible opportunity can fit around existing commitments and offers a rewarding way to support your local community. By contributing your time and skills, particularly through valuable administrative support, you will help Andover Mind deliver successful events, engage local communities and continue providing vital mental health support across the area.
