Description

As a Community Club Volunteer, you have a key role welcoming and supporting members within each weekly group session. You will ensure the smooth operational delivery of group sessions. You will create a welcoming and supportive environment by preparing and clearing the space, equipment and refreshments. You will deliver fun and inclusive activities for members. Above all, you will represent Valley Leisure Ltd., bringing to life the ‘I Can’ spirit and upholding the three core values of the charity’s active ageing strategy; Empower, Excellence and Community.

What activities will you perform or take part in?

Work positively and proactively with fellow volunteers during sessions, warmly welcome and register members, and assist with setting up chairs, tables and equipment. Prepare and serve refreshments, help to run activities such as games, and provide an all round positive experience.

What particular skills are needed for this role?

You will be reliable and punctual, communicate well, uphold boundaries and confidentiality, remain non-judgemental, and be comfortable listening without giving advice.
