VACANCY

CARER SUPPORT WORKER

This is an exciting, challenging, but rewarding role which gives you an opportunity to make a difference to the lives of unpaid carers in Hampshire.
It is estimated that there are approximately 133,000 carers in Hampshire with 20% (i.e.26,000) providing over 50 hours of unpaid care per week, with many people reliant on support from a carer such a family member or friend in order to maintain their independence and remain living within the community. If you’re looking for a rewarding role where you can bring positivity to people and be present in the community this could be the role for you.
Our valued Carer Support Workers are part of our countywide Carer Support and Dementia Advisor service. They enable carers to recognise themselves in their essential role, to support their own health and wellbeing in order to care, as well as helping them to live positive lives and access the range of support services needed to continue in their caring role and to support them in developing a lifestyle beyond the caring role.
If you have a strong background in Adult Health and Care or are from a similar background and feel you have the right skills and qualities to connect with others we would love to hear from you.
We offer ongoing training and development to all staff and 27 days holiday entitlement rising to 30 days after 3 full years service plus bank holidays.
