Hampshire Futures confirm that their next Traineeship Plus programme will start the week commencing 4th March. This programme continues to support some of the most vulnerable young people in our community, providing them with the very best experience to help them prepare for the world of work. It is designed to help young people who lack the skills and experience that employers are looking for and will give them the experience of the working world through a high quality work placement, so the move into employment isn’t as daunting. They will receive support to improve their English and maths and will work towards an employability qualification, developing their confidence and improving their chances of getting an apprenticeship or other job. Applicants will require a minimum grade D (3 under new grading structure) GCSE English or maths (non GCSE qualifications considered on an individual basis); full details of the programme with entry criteria are in the attached document.
The programme delivery areas have included Eastleigh, Fareham, Gosport, Basingstoke, Aldershot, Totton, Rushmoor and Havant; a decision on locations is based on the volume location of young people submitting applications.
