Test Valley Community Resilience Workshop – 9.30 am Saturday 9th October 2021 at King’s Somborne Village Hall


Test Valley Borough Council will be holding a Community Resilience Workshop at King’s Somborne Village Hall on Saturday morning. There will be the usual coffee, croissants and hot bacon and sausage rolls available from 9.30 am before the event proper starts at 9.45 am.

The workshop will be based around 5 discussion groups with four sessions for each one, and everyone will be invited to choose a session on each of their four preferred topics.

The groups will be covering:

  • Lessons learned from recent resilience conferences    
  • How the Local Resilience Forum (LRF) functions and what it did during the pandemic
  • Lessons learned from the pandemic; creating a plan for the future   
  • Recovery from the pandemic
  • Community views – the development of the government’s national resilience policy

There also will be a short presentation from Southern Water’s Vulnerability Liaison Officer on support for vulnerable communities.
