School Summer Holiday Entertainment from the Army Flying Museum

Jaw dropping experiments, creative craft activities and fun trails, all from the school holiday entertainment programme from the Army Flying Museum at Middle Wallop this Summer.

The Army Flying Museum’s holiday activities will offer six weeks of creative craft sessions with a weather or work out theme.  Weather-based craft activities will include making windsocks and weather wheels and to celebrate the forthcoming Commonwealth Games, the work out activities include making a pop-up strong man and a sports day cube.

On the 27th July, 10th and 24th August, the museum will also welcome special guests Genie Lab who will bring sensational science demonstrations and magnificent experiments to amaze and mystify visitors in the main hanger of the museum surrounding by helicopters and gliders.

The museum has several creative trails taking place throughout the summer holidays along with the regular dress up stations, jigsaws, interactive exhibits and of course, the opportunity to sit inside the helicopters within the museum.

Lucy Johnson, CEO of the Army Flying Museum said: “We always enjoy offering a variety of free family activities during the school holidays, which gives visitors real added value for their annual passes. Everyone that visits the museum only has to pay once to get a free annual pass, so they can come back as often as they like throughout the year including all the school holidays.”

All holiday activities take place daily from 10.30am-1.30pm, however for the full programme, dates and timings, visit the Museum’s website at
