The Hampshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (HSCP) and the Hampshire Domestic Abuse Partnership (HDAP) are pleased to announce the latest Wednesday Webinar is now available for booking.
An introduction to the impact of domestic abuse on children and young people
Domestic abuse has a devastating impact on children and young people that can last into adulthood.  This webinar offers an introduction to the impact that domestic abuse can have and will explore some of the physical and emotional effects, and will help to upskill professionals to feel more confident in responding to disclosure or suspicions of abuse.
Learning objectives:

  1. To increase understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on children, including physical and emotional impacts, and recognising DA as an ACE (adverse childhood experience).
  2. To enable professionals to know how to respond to disclosures or suspicions that a child has witnessed or experienced domestic abuse
  3. To have an awareness of specialist support available to children witnessing DA & how to refer to appropriate services, including safeguarding responsibilities.
