FISH - Fun in the Summer Holidays: History Week

Join us this summer for our FISH Family Fun Days, a free weekly programme packed with creative activities, games, sports and themed fun for children and families.

Running every Thursday from 23rd July to 27th August, 10.00am – 12.30pm, each session offers a different theme, giving families plenty of opportunities to get involved, try something new and enjoy time together during the holidays.

From funfair games and Olympic challenges to superheroes, history, eco activities and a grand circus finale, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

In addition to activities, free weekly recipe and meal kits are provided, helping support families through the summer holidays.

History Week

Travel through time with us at our interactive History themed Family Fun Day!

This engaging session invites children to explore the past through hands-on activities and games. Create your own Time Travel Passport and collect stamps from different historical eras, from Romans to Victorians. Try traditional playground favourites like hopscotch and hula hooping and test your knowledge with a fun “Guess the Historic Object” game.

Children can also dress up using a selection of simple costumes and props, helping bring history to life in a fun and accessible way. A relaxed and educational session perfect for curious minds and families who enjoy learning together.
