Domestic abuse is of increasing concern during the lockdown period of the current coronavirus crisis

April 2, 2020

Dear partners,
As I’m sure you are aware, domestic abuse is of increasing concern during the lockdown period of the current coronavirus crisis.
There has been lot of information circulated over the last week or so from a variety of agencies.  We have tried to collate that local information in one place for ease of reference and so that we can keep you informed of all the most up to date information, advice and resources.
We have created a dedicated page on our existing website to host this information: https://www.hants.gov.uk/socialcareandhealth/hantsdomesticabuse/information-and-updates
And links to this page have also been placed in a banner at the top of our usual homepage(https://www.hants.gov.uk/socialcareandhealth/domesticabuse)  , the pages for victims and perpetrators of abuse and also the professionals (HDAP) web page.
Please feel free to add this link to your own agency web pages and continue to send us your updated information and resources, which we can add to the page.  We are keen to keep this web page as useful and as up to date as possible for the Hampshire Domestic Abuse Partnership.
Please also cascade this information to your networks.
We have had  specific request from the police to include schools in the distribution of their poster (Hampshire Constabulary ‘s Coronavirus where to get help poster) – Karen Nye/Sophie Butt, please could you help to facilitate this.
Best wishes
Jude Ruddock-Atcherley
Strategic Domestic Abuse Manager
