Do you have memories of Victory in Europe 8 May 1945?

If so we would love to record your memories of VE day and what it was like living in Andover at the time.
Your stories and recollections will be kept as a living history of this important era by Andover Iron Age Museum as part of a project to keep Andover’s history alive.
There will be a number of days when you can go to Andover Museum to record your stories:
Thurs 16 Jan, 10am to 12 noon
Thurs 23 Jan, 10am to12 noon
Thurs 30 Jan, 10am to 12 noon
Thurs 6 Feb, 10am to 12 noon
Thurs 13 Feb, 10am to 12 noon
If it is not possible for you to get to the museum or make these dates, please contact Louise Mackay on 01264 366283 to discuss how we can still capture your memories.
As a thank you for sharing your stories of VE Day, the Mayor of Test Valley would like to invite you to a special VE Day afternoon tea in Andover Guildhall on Friday 8 May from 2 to 3.30pm, where all of the stories can be listened to and remembered.
Please contact the Mayor’s Assistant, Sharon Goodridge, on 01264 368022 to reserve a place for you and a guest.
