Centre Manager – Romsey Cancer Support Centre

April 30, 2019

On the retirement of our current Manager we are looking to appoint a Centre Manager for Jane Scarth House, a cancer support centre based in the middle of Romsey, Hampshire. Well-known over a wide area it is a walk in centre providing emotional and practical support to anyone whose
life is affected by cancer, whether they are the patient, their carer, or a relative.
The centre has been operating since 1995 but almost 5 years ago a group of local people responded to the need to take on the running of the Centre by coming together and forming a new independent charity, Romsey Cancer Support Centre, to support and secure the future of Jane Scarth House. Only a couple of hundred yards from Jane Scarth House is Jane’s, the charity’s shop, which also comes under the umbrella of Romsey Cancer Support Centre, and whose profits are solely used to help fund Jane Scarth House.
Services at Jane Scarth House include a befriending service with a team of 26 trained volunteers and 5 part-time staff always ready to support, in confidence, anyone coming through the front door.
Fully trained counsellors offer professional, one-to-one confidential counselling and the complementary therapies on offer include Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Reiki and Indian Head
Massage. In addition there is a comprehensive library covering many aspects of cancer. All services are free.

If you are interested in applying for this role please send your cv and a covering letter explaining briefly your reasons for applying addressed to Bridget Brook, Chair of Trustees by email to:
