April 22, 2020

VACANCY Volunteer Coordinator
Andover Mind is a local charity for people who experience, or are affected by, mental ill- health. This includes things like Bi-polar disorder, post-natal depression, anxiety and dementia. We were founded in 1984 and provide a range of services designed to enable people to live as independently as possible. We are passionate about mental health and love to get out and about in our local community promoting mental health awareness and challenging stigma and discrimination. We have an excellent reputation for providing community-based, recovery-focused support and run well-being centers in Andover, Romsey, Basingstoke and Aldershot. Our other work includes carer support and dementia advice services across Hampshire, adult and youth counselling, and our Ugly Duckling furniture recycling/up-cycling project.
We rely on the fantastic support of our loyal volunteers who help us in all areas of our organisation and we could not provide the services we do without them.
We are looking for a Volunteer Coordinator who will be responsible for developing volunteering in the organisation by recruiting new volunteers as well as maintaining and supporting our existing volunteers. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and have the ability to inspire people to share or gain new skills and experience by volunteering.
We offer ongoing training and development to all staff, 27 days holiday entitlement rising to 30 days after 3 full years service plus bank holidays.
